  • Hi Rep, I note this contains polyethylene as the main ingredient. Having plastic beads that wash down the drain, pass through the sewage filters and systems and are then swallowed by marine life. They are ruining our waterways an environment. Some US States have already banned their use.

Rep, any comment as to why you're selling a polluting product with a total disregard for the environment?

      OP hasn't stated they're a rep.

Just realised. (Tried to edit the above post but don't seem able)

What is EPA doing about it?

        • +2

@ilsan: Not a lot it seems. Some of the major players have got together and are banning them though.

Yawn…you're barking up the wrong tree.

      • Or sheep if you will

As long as there is no BPA the fish should be ok

Jezuz man, attacking someone and not getting facts (OP vs Rep) straight, nice move. Even of it was the Rep, could you get a more sanctimonious soap box in your approach?

Good you found that SydBargainer. Plenty of other ingredients they could use to do the same job. Ok, it may seem a small matter, but multiply that by the number of users and other products and it does matter. Particularly as it's just a vanity product which doesn't need to use that stuff.

Once again , why are we discussing the environment ? Is the product legal? Yep. So please leave political arguments for the forums. Next you'll complain it's not gluten free.

    • +3

Just because it's legal, doesn't mean it's sensible or ethical. It's quite legitimate to raise the issue. If the OP had been the rep it would also have been OK to question them on it (except they aren't a rep as it turns out).

  • Never used the Super Gel

I have it is similar to the Alpha Gels, perhaps a little more sticky/globby in it's consistency.

  • The Gels are good. I still have some AlphaGel from ages ago when it got OzBargained at something like $1.60 a pop.
