No kid is worth a $400.00 Lego set. NO KID. I expect this would be aimed at retirees with a Lego fetish.

Totally agree, realistically though I think most Lego is bought by adults these days. It's wasted on kids really :)

      Dude, you're doing it wrong.

You buy it claiming it's for your kid, and then make it out to be voodoo-mind-control-complicated so he has to watch you play with it endlessly. If he asks why he can't have a turn you just say the robots could actually turn against humans if he's not careful.

I beg to differ. What about that kid who built a braille printer out of his mindstorms kit?

Got one for my son last year - at $400 this is dirt cheap. They will be $550 in a couple of days on ebay and people (read desperate parents) will be getting them for 'Santa' to deliver!

You can make some pretty sweet stuff - he made a guitar the other week and then turned it into a rubiks cube solver. It's currently a remote control car!

Around $350 is a good OzBargain price

Mr Toys ( AUS based ) was quite a bit cheaper also a few days ago with the Ebay special. I think it was around $375
