I didn't think it would be this obviously dodgy on ebay

cheapdeal_aus is selling 256gb USB2 memory sticks for around $25 -29 each.

I've bought my share of fake thumb drives of aliexpress (long story) to recognise these are the same fake thumb drives

just a heads up.

follow up -

I thought I would buy one to test to further neg (and do a paypal dispute to get refund for faulty goods).

get the message -Transaction Blocked
We're sorry, but the seller of this item is unable to receive funds at this time.

get the Ebay message -"Transaction Blocked
We're sorry, but the seller of this item is unable to receive funds at this time."

wow you just know now? i bought one fake one back in 2008. done research and even found a software that can reveal the actual capacity, formatted it and still useable till now (with lower capacity ofcourse)

  I've always known but usually it is OS sellers. this is so blatant. and the seller even poo-poo's the neg where the buyerpoints out testing revealed they were dodgy.

    H2testw is the one I normally use. It'll report a small amount untested on a good drive, due to the file system reserving a bit of space.

      Thank you for the tip. Bought 1TB usb drive for USD $13 and testing it now with h2testw.

That means his account is toast, Paypal probably took action.
