Just announced at the PlayStation Experience keynote. From 12pm PST (which is 4am Perth time this morning) to 6pm PST the next day dunno! As of this edit (1pm Monday WST and way past 6pm PST), the games are still free. Will update if they announce anything more specific for AU. (Apologies if I don't - staying up to watch and I haven't slept yet.)

UPDATE: Now live on the US PSN store, so if you have a US PSN account you can grab the games now. Hopefully it goes live for the AU Store soon.

      That's nothing to do with PlayStation, it's Sony Pictures isn't it?

      This is EA trying to garner more support from PS users since they have a pretty bad rep right now.

        I'm not sure but all of PlayStation web servers were offering the leak for free download. Unsure if this was a honeypot by Sony or by GOP

    PVZ is online only. PS Plus required. Wouldn't go crazy over it. It's basically like monthly free games with plus.

          @Ebany: sub's are for online play on PS4 as well as 6 free games per month and other features.

          @Ebany: You only ever need PlayStation Plus to play online multiplayer on PS4.

          The subscription does get you free games every month, but the three EA games are free for everyone this weekend only.

    Who else is experiencing a slow install in-game for PvZ? I am apparently stuck in tutorial mode wondering aimlessly and the install bar is moving very slowly!

        I assumed it was installing the game. Oh… So it's downloading after 7GB of content already downloaded (including the game and the update file).

          yeah its actually the game installing. I downloaded the whole thing yesterday and only opened the game today. It took like two hours for it to install once the game was open.. I've never seen anything take this long before!

          Just checked the EU and US store which seems to be working. So if you have accounts in either, grab it quick! It's past 6pm PST already.

          EDIT: AU store works too now, I think? Really slow signing in though..
          EDIT 2: I think it's buggered.. :(
          It's still listed as free but can't seem to sign in on browser.

    Prob more of a note for the Forums but thought I'd ask you guys what with all the downloads what are you finding is the best way to manager space? My 500GB is filling mighty quickly!

      Delete the game data from games you don't really play anymore? They can take up a huge chunk.

      Otherwise you could look into getting a bigger drive.. (Transferring is painful though).

    Hi, so PVZ: Garden Warfare is free for PS4, but then to play the game you would need a PS+ subscription? I first installed the game and was able to play online at first after installation. Now the game is telling me it requires a PS+ subscription, is this normal?
