5 Cent Tork Industrial Paper Hack from Staples Deal

So I ordered 5 double packs of the Tork industrial paper rolls from this staples deal last month.

10 rolls @ 5 cents each. double ply and 1000 sheets per roll.

I took one roll out of the plastic wrap the other day and found the feel of the paper to be that of toilet paper.

the idea hit me that each roll is just over twice the width of a standard toilet paper roll.

so 3 minutes later, after wrapping packing tape around the middle and applying my panel saw, I had 2 rolls of 1000 sheet double ply toilet paper.

if all 10 of them are cut in half then it will result in 20,000 sheets of double ply for the princely sum of 50cents

your average 12 pack of toilet paper usually has 180 double sheets per roll or 1360 double ply sheets for $4-6

  • Clever!

How long will it be $0.05? Stock up!

  • Be cautious. What is the consistency of the paper? TP is designed to break down very easily. Facial tissues, for example, feel almost the same but hold together much better.
Source: my aunt's $200 plumbing bill to unclog the sewer when she had a bad head cold and had been flushing used tissues.

    • it's certainly more "toilet paper" consistency than "tissue".

    • Good point, you don't want to create any FATBERGS
