Need A New Laptop

Im looking for a new laptop.

Im not really fussy with brands or anything. range between 1000-1500

Im looking for a crazy deal, not those deals that come up every 2 weeks. im looking for a deal thats like "f$%* i cant believe they are selling it for that price"

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

what sort of specs are you looking at?

I've got a laptop I'll sell to you for $1000 where people will say "f$%* i cant believe altomic is selling it for that price"

  • As above, you need to tell us what you want to do with it. Do you want something compact like an ultrabook or do you want something to play games with a FHD screen? Also if you're looking for one of those BS crazy deals, it will be on the front page, no need to request it in the forums.

Dell outlet website has amazing deals on laptops (for most people). Worth checking it often. Try using a webpage monitor that alerts you when the page updates.

  • Lenovo sometimes do decent deals on the ThinkPad T series and W series.

Though I have heard the quality of ThinkPads have gone down, servicing from Lenovo apparently is horrendous as well, so I'd be careful.

I've heard that Macbook Airs have decent build quality, so you might want to look at Macbook deals. If you don't like Mac OS, Boot Camp exists. I am recommending solely because I've heard that they are well built.

My words of advice, don't just look at the specs and decide. Laptops, unlike desktops, has to be well designed for heat dissipation which doesn't show up in the spec list.

Poorly designed laptops with top end CPU and GPU usually means throttling, throttling and throttling. Also heat build up eats away your laptop's life span and integrity of the laptop body easily.
