Is there much point using this instead of VLC and other free players?

    • No point unless you don't like the interface of VLC or want to try something different.

  • I don't know, can VLC play Blu-ray discs?

I too thought you at least needed another licensed decoder installed for VLC to play blu rays

    • Yeah, and essentially almost anything else. Not much point putting several media players on your PC if one will suffice.

  • Is this region free or does this lock in the region after a while? Currently using Totalmedia but since it isn't region free I stuck buying Region B Blu rays…

Really want that Harold & Kumar collector's edition.

    • Just did a quick test and I was able to play a Reagion A bluray and a region B bluray which my PS4 wont.

      • Hmm… I'll give it a shot cheers! My Totalmedia theatre freezes up when i try to start a Bluray… need a new player
