LG Air-con leaking at rental studio

Hi,

The air-con unit (LG S09AHP-N46) has suddenly started dripping water. It's dripping out of the right hand side at the bottom. Quite a lot of droplets come out.

I have stopped using it, but can turn it on to take a photo if needed.

My property agent is very unreliable, and hasnt helped me out.

Is there much in it in fixing it- Im pretty handy is there anything i can try? estimated cost to fix?

All air-con need to drain the water out, most likely the drain is blocked and has nowhere to go but out the front. Id start with trying to find the blockage.

  • Get a new property manager - ones that just count your money and take a cut are useless. He should have a list of reliable repairers or at least a sparky for recommendations.

    LG under warranty ?

  • Check for blockage in the outlet hose.
Depending on age of the unit it may be under warranty but the LL would have to contact LG if it was.
Check your rights as a tenant. If the property manager fails to rectify faults within a set time and you have proof of reporting it then you can have it repaired and take the cost from the rent. Check your rights with this within your state regulations on rental properties first.

  • Cheers for the responses. Doubt the LG is under warranty- is it that new a model? Where abouts is the hose outlet located?
