  1000 Joules; pretty meagre energy absorption for this price.

  You're better off buying one of these Belkins from Ebay. Cheaper price and better specs (2700 Joules). Seller is reputable, I've bought from them before without issue and they've posted on OzBargain too.

    Er, the bargain listed is a Remote Control power board - ie, you can turn it on and off from your couch.

  worst item from Belkin. get rid of it after 3rd replacement. wireless don't work after 4 to 6 months. even tried with battery replacement. No good.

  Good replacement warranty from Belkin but the wireless failed after a few months on all three of mine. I can't even manually turn them on. I pressed the tiny click button to turn it on but it turned itself off straight away. I now use the two permanent outlets only on the giant boards. Paid $99 at HN a few years back. I just don't bother asking for replacements any more.
