I think this is reasonably cheap.
the website is funny sometimes hard to find specific deals, for example

body only $499
http://www.digidirect.com.au/slr_cameras/olympus/olympus_om-…

twin lens $699
http://www.digidirect.com.au/slr_cameras/olympus/olympus_om-…

also browsing this
http://www.digidirect.com.au/slr_cameras/olympus/

give you the same camera with optional 14-42mm as $579
http://www.digidirect.com.au/slr_cameras/olympus/olympus_om-…

difference is the "Elite" word.. not sure why elite is cheaper?

  • im thinking to get one but cant decide between m5 and m10
my main preferences is light weight, wifi not important, but i like the better in other spec ie AF, low light, etc.

  • +1

I think the EM-10 is probably a better deal if you don't care about full 5-axis IS and weather shielding.

The EM-10's package offers the improved 14-42 and is a much smaller pancake.

The EM-10 also has LIVE COMPOSITION that EM-5 doesn't get, as well as some other new additional things that just make it more fun to shoot with.

    • so you mean the 14-42lens on both m5 and m10 are different? i thought same..
yeah the 3axis is not too bad

      • +1

Yeah, the one bundled in the EM5 you can see it's the older version, it's not the EZ one, the EZ one only comes bundled with the EM-10 or EPL7.

The 3-axis is adequate and does its job pretty well.

I've owned both the EM-5 and EM-1 before, but decided to sell them off in the past to get something viable and cheap, so I stuck with the EM-10, it offers a good value, especially with the digidirect deal, it's a true steal.

        • Wow own 3 models…you are truly an Olympian…:)

        • @erwinsie:

Haha, I didn't own all at the same time, but I switched, sold and switched etc. Lucky I got them at good deals so when sold, didn't lose much at all.
