hi guys! i have an old car that i want to get rid of, i dont think my car is roadworthy anymore so im planning to sell it to one of them scrap car removal places. ive asked for quotes from a few places via google but theyve all been quoting me only $200. my car is a mazda 626 1992 sedan V6. does anyone know how i could get more $$$ for it? and also, do i have to tell vicroads that im getting rid of the car etc… thanks!!

have a look a what others are selling this / similar car for on car sales.
There is an alternative where you give it to a charity,they collect it and they sell it and give you a receipt for the sale price for you to be able claim it as a donation on your tax. http://www.kuc.org.au/get-involved/donate-your-car
Yes you have to tell vicroads and should be able to claim a pro-rata refund on your registration (and also on any insurance you have on the vehicle). You should also remove the number plates and return them to vicroads.
thanks for the suggestions guys!! i will look into the charity as im sure other people need the money more than me! maybe i should donate the $200 to charity.
The 92 626 is still a very good chassis. Gumtree?
sell it on car sales. might be able to get 500 for it. dont sell with rwc.
