  • Sorry, I meant 27c.

  • But the question is, is it any good?

    • Haven't used cheapies myself. But read reviews that though they are 'fantastic', they do the job and last their worth. You can get a new set every year with that sort of price.
Having said that, I am considering whether I should buy the hardside or duffel /soft luggages

  • Bohoo no other colours…

  • I have bought cheap suitcases in the past. Never again. They do not last, and are a pain to move about when heavy (especially the spinners with a single wheel in each corner).
I found that quality luggage (e.g. Samsonite) can be bought cheaply from European eBay powersellers - strongly recommend that instead.

    • any specific ones you've bought from before?

      • Yes, I have bought a Samsonite S'cure from seller "cuoieria". He sells them with cheap and fast shipping:
        http://stores.ebay.com.au/CUOIERIA/_i.html?_nkw=SAMSONITE+S%…

Much cheaper than buying in Australia. And if your suitcase goes through a lot of airports, you need it to last.

        • You are still looking at ~$200 per case so around $500 for a set of three, substantially more that the $99 delivered.

Personally i would go for the Kogan option with the chance to buy another 4 sets if needed.

        • @asseenontv: But what if you do not need 3?
And what kind of suitcase do you think you will get if you buy 3 for $99? You can buy 4 sets, but how practical is it to do so when you are overseas with a broken suitcase?

I'm all for bargains, but I have learned my lessons with "budget" luggage. I bought a set of 3 supposed "Wenger" suitcases once (under license by Wenger, but really just cheap crap). Wheel damaged when I picked it up from the belt. Did you know Airlines do not cover damage to wheels? I do now…. Thankfully I got a refund on the whole set under warranty.
I have another suitcase bought for $150 at Myer: Monsac. Was great in the shop, manouvred easily. Load it up with 20kg of luggage, and then see how easy it changes direction. Hence my feedback: spinners require double wheels on each corner.

If you don't take planes, and do not travel often, by all means get a cheap suitcase. But if your suitcases get to encounter luggage belts and baggage handlers, don't buy crap….

Are Kogan reps here whitewashing my comment? I can't think of anyone else who would object to my stating a simple fact.

No reps, some people are void of humour though

Are they being shipped from overseas? If so then what do you expect with something so big.
