    I used to work in layby. We also did holds. People used to come In a day before sale, fill up a bucket, and we held if for a day or two. We were too dumb to realise it was on sale when they picked it up,

    Masters also have this same policy ! I discovered when pushing them to price match / beat on my washing machine purchase ! I'm not 100% of the time frame though 10days comes to mind
