    Why does it? It's DOUBLE cashback when you add $200+ of Canon gear to it. Therefore, 50% of the cashback is just the original for the camera itself, then the other 50% is the cashback for me.

      I think the point that is trying to be made is, what does the person helping you get in return. I mean you can expect it from the niceness of their hearts but there are posts around where you buy something and then resell it and recoup much of the cashback depending on what it is.

      The $150 on a 700D and the other cameras with a $200, it's pretty much worth buying the closest and most relevant item to get the bonus cashback. Worst comes to worst if the buyer can't find something then just buy whatever and on set it. They would pretty much still be ahead.

        @DAOtmc: I figured so much, you never know there might be a generous soul given the Christmas spirit, but probably best case scenario is someone buying a camera with a $200 cash back and perhaps paying them $50. May be also try post in the classified?

        I've given it some thought as I've been eyeing of the 700D but I'm not sure what way to buy it if I do. Not sure how much time I have to use it.

        I believe anything above the 600D is not worth it personally in the Beginner DSLR range anyways. I own a 7D and 5D Mark III as well as a 600D. But i'm not too fussed, it's probably too hard to find someone nice enough to purchase with me.

        @DAOtmc: Are you currently owning all 3 of them? If so I think you'd be better off selling one of them to get some cash to purchase those gears and don't have to think about this headache. You're looking for some kind heart in here but you have to think about fairness for the person spending their time and money on this thing. Because if you're looking at the fair share of the deal then you'll almost be better off than the other person (they're likely to spend the larger amount than you but get the same amount of cash back). So unless you're willing to give some of the cash back to them like raymond y said, or agree to split the cash back based on the purchasing ratio then it's very hard. You're request some kind-heartedness but you have to be fair to them, not taking advantage.

        Thats nowhere near true. I'd be buying a $500 Flash and a $150 lens which total to $650. But I have the money to purchase without help, I thought i'd just try. And yes, I own all three.

        Can I ask how that's taking advantage though? I'm only asking for people that won't be going for the double cashback and can accommodate me. Therefore the 2nd cashback value wouldnt exist without me anyways in the first place. Like I said, not fussed. Just figured i'd try.

        @DAOtmc: if owning all three then I'd say you don't even know what your neesd are.
        Regarding the double cash back I'd say greed is people's nature (that's why ozbargain exists). If they don't see the need for double cash back they are not tempted for it, but once it's in their eyes and reach they'll want it.
