I fail to see what the two have in common?

Don't think Air Asia has lost a plane before

What are you talking about? Air Asia has nothing to do with Malaysia Airlines.

  • The flight is between Indonesia and Singapore. Air Asia is partly Malaysian owned. Doesn't really have anything to do with Malaysia Airlines, and the route this time was fairly short (crossing the Java sea over Indonesia and Singapore, this is a flight that only lasts 1:55 hours)

Before they lost contact, the aircraft was diverted because of bad weather conditions.

Origin was from Juanda International Airport @ Indonesia.

Roughly 42 mins into the flight, the craft dissapeared from Indonesian radar.

I honestly hope for a miracle for the passengers. :(

I won't book any Malaysian branded airline in the next year.
It seems their reputation are really bad now.

Based on a couple of random incidents out of millions of flights?
I guess you wont be driving a car to work today or crossing the road as you have a far greater chance of death doing that.

Unfortunately many people think the same.
MH370 - no one knows what actually happened.
MH17 - just in the wrong place at the wrong time - hardly their fault.
QZ8501- No one knows what happened yet.

I have flown Air Asia and Malaysia Airlines and both I would happily fly again.

This thread will stay open for AirAsia canceling direct flight to Bali.

  • Anyone know if we can get a refund on this flight ? Because it's a very long journey instead of a short one.
