After a bit of research this looks like one of the better steam generators available. It's been reduced to $269 at Bing Lee now so is a candidate for price matching / beating at the usual places. There is currently a $100 cashback from Philips that expires 31st December so you'll need to act fast at get the claim form in within 14 days. Even forgetting the ridiculous RRP of $429.95, $169 seems like a great deal for a product with such good reviews Note: Those reviews are for the earlier model, this is the updated model with slightly bigger water capacity, better steam boost and pressure.

  I have one of these and I can vouch for the quality. Great iron to use and there isn't a need to change the settings when going from different materials. Does a lovely job of removing creases in clothes and is best used when your clothes are slightly damp. Leaving the iron on the ironing board is not an issue since the iron will cut out power once it gets too hot for the fabric it's sitting on.

  Really good for someone who does plenty of ironing or someone who irons their shirts on a weekly basis.

  Price is really good considering the cashback. Good luck with price matching!

  Got one a few months back for $199, it was a good price.
  $169 is a great price for a great device, easy to use, even my kids now love ironing.

  Bought one through the DJ's online store at $299. Valuing the earnt Qantas Points at 1c/point and with the $30 Amex cashback, works out to about $140 after the Philips cashback.
