POLL: Netflix or HuluPlus?

OK, you've just got:

  • your nice new TV setup (purchased cheap from Boxing Day Sales)
  • your "Getflix" account setup (with 40% discount)
  • signed up with Netflix (free trial)
  • signed up with HuluPlus (free trial)

Question - which one is best - Netflix or Hulu???

They both have similar content…
They both cost about the same…
I was reading that Netflix seems to be a lot more popular in the States…

Only difference I've noticed so far is that Hulu seems to have more current content but doesn't carry the full back catalogue (ie: Hulu had new "Arrow" content but I couldn't find anything to watch before Ep5 from current series)…

What's the main difference I'm not seeing??? What to choose??? What do OzBargainers Prefer???

    I prefer Hulu, content is more recent. But in saying that I have both on ps4.

    Netflix for mine. The library is much bigger on Netflix although Hulu has the newer content and up to date tv shows but I source most of my shows elsewhere anyway.

    It really depends on what you're after.

    Netflix for me. Always found something of interest to watch.
    To me Hulu had loads of stuff I didnt want to watch.Shows from the 80 + 90s etc.. and the commercials.

    Although like the above poster, shows I really want to watch ill source from elsewhere.

    Netflix is best. But content can get old after you've watched everything. No ads and fantastic.

    I have Hulu too but the ads really really suck. They're always on the latest shows so I prefer just torrenting. For $7 who's complaining but an oz bargainer. I wish they'd make a more premium version with no ads.

    I'm amazed this is even close. The adverts on hulu plus kill me everytime I go back to try it. The Netflix experience is significantly better IMO.

    I've got my fingers crossed the upcoming HBO streaming service will ape Netflix not Hulu.

    We have Netflix currently and had a trial for HuluPlus. I found Hulu had more recent tv shows i was interested in but the ads were annoying, I kept getting the same ad come up over and over again argh use the mute button. Netflix is pretty good, I can usually find something to watch but they did just remove a bunch of shows that I didn't get a chance to finish watching so that was disappointing.

    I was impressed by Hulus TV library, but I couldn't stand the ads. Netflix does the job just fine for me.

    Why not both?
    Lol there both priced decently still cheaper then foxtel so go both.
