Refurb Asus Google Nexus 7 (2013) for AU$29.99 plus Free Delivery to Aus - too good to be true?

Hey Peeps,

I saw this deal on eBay and was seeing what you guys reckon about it?

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/291339811881?ssPageName=STRK:MEWA…

The seller has more than 10 available and also 100% positive feedback and from Hong Kong.

A nexus 7 (2013) refurb for only $29.99 plus free shipping is an awesome price but seems too good to be true… what do you guys think? Have a misread the description?

It does take 25-35 days to ship though…

If worse comes to be worse I'll only be losing $29.99….

Thanks.

2 positive feedbacks in the last 12 months. i'll pass

    • This. Also only two products listed and they all are way below the normal price + all the feedbacks befor those 2 postive feedbacks are about clothing…

Also, 30 dollars is a lot. How many eneloops can you get with that?

It's a scam, easily identifiable by user feedback. The user account has been hijacked after being unused for so long. The person advertising the tablets is not the original owner of the account — he's simply using somebody's acc with 100% feedback.

137 tablet sold, that's $4108.63 worth of money potentially swindled.

Yep, all wise words above. Steer clear. Re the two positive bits of feedback, it's very easy to set up a new ebay account or two, pretend to buy something from yourself, then leave yourself positive feedback (or have a couple of mates pretend to buy from you/leave you feedback). You pay some minor fees to ebay in the process, but then you have positive feedback, which can sway the judgment of enough buyers to reap much more cash than the outlay.

    Abort, Abort!

Ebay is getting filled with this crap. Clearly obvious fake listings designed to swindle money out of people.

A 5 second scan of the sales history shows the original account holder was likely a British woman, I'm sad that 137 people so far believe this crap.

Some of you people are far too willing to believe! Anyhow got to go I'm waiting on a message from a Nigerian prince…

  • I bought a "gaming phone" for $30 from an account that sounds very much like this instance. I didn't receive it, logged it with Paypal, was refunded in two weeks.
I wonder if they rely on people not lodging a non-receipt issue.
