Who knew they needed a Banana Slicer?

70 Piece Cutlery set for $7 more

    • I can now slice the banana before my kids fight over who I slice the banana for first…u gotta hide it during domestic disputes if u don't want ur banana sliced

  • Is 0% nickel flatware any good . From my quick bit of googling higher percentiges of Nickel are preferable .

Googled : Stainless flatware that is 18/10 means that 18% is chromium and 10% is nickel. The higher the nickel content, the more protection the flatware has from corrosion. Prices of stainless steel flatware vary considerably depending on these specs and quality, so don’t be fooled into thinking you are buying the best quality, if the nickel content is 0%.

We have had what looks like this set for 8 years and it's still like new : http://www.petersofkensington.com.au/Public/Oneida-Cirrus-Cu…
Can't remember what we paid but it was from Myers during one of their sales .

    • To start with I doubt that any cutlery I ever bought was 18/10 SS as I usually buy cheap cutlery, only looses it's shine but never rusts as online articles suggest
You probably could pay a bit more and get less cutlery for an 18/10 set as it would probably be better quality. For example http://m.petersofkensington.com.au/Product/Detail/Tablekraft…

Edit: in contrary I always have problems with SS kitchen appliances staining and rusting!

  • Caveat emptor,

I experienced unreasonable issues seeking an exchange upon a new/unused item.
May have just caught them upon a bad day, may be their standard.

  • The utensils rack is pretty pointless when they don't actually carry the utensils to go with it.

    • Ivan just place them upside down if ur utensils don't have the hook- read the discription

  • My local Aldi had 56pc stainless cutlery sets on 50% clearance a few weeks back @ ~$30. Not Stanley and Rogers but feels v nice nonetheless.

    • I saw those ones but the spoons were too wide IMO
Out of curiosity do u know if they were 18/0 or 18/10 SS

      • 18/10 i believe but it's packed in the bottom of a removalist box so i can't check (we're moving house)

  • I got my order today:
The cutlery set has 25 year guarantee, they look like any normal cutlery nothing fancy about their weight/strength/etc

The Paella Pan is surprisingly good quality for the price, made in Spain, but does not disclose the material its made of.

The Banana slicer is quite good. Its not sharp so kids could use it to add sliced bananas on their cereal.

The placing mats and pizza stone are normal quality so just right for the price IMO

    Overall happy with the purchase.

They sent the order in a huge pink box filled with foam pellets. The kids want to play Jack in the box with it!
