Belkin HDMI ProHD2000 Series Cable (1m) - $7.50 (Was $99) @ Myer Knox VIC (in-Store Only)

1210

I stumbled upon this bargain while hunting for a Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard K750 at Knox City shopping centre. It clearly says on the label that its been reduced from $99 to $60, however, simply take it up to the register to get scanned and it will actually cost only $7.50. I have no idea when this discount will end so I recommend jumping at the opportunity while it lasts.

All about the quality of components in the "more expensive" HDMI cables.

For people who think that the cables just get wear from plugging and unplugging… have you seen cheap plastic cables degrade in the largely variable Australian climate we have? Increasing and decreasing humidity? Low quality internals that will crack/split from a few small bends….

$7.50 for a robust cable that will last a bit better than a <$7.50 cable… call that a win in my books.

$150 Monster Cables HDMI versus $15 generic HDMI …: http://youtu.be/xxfLXH6qe9w

Shows the monster cAble in action vs cheap no brand.

Btw my point was OP seemed like they were about willing to pay $60. I get my ebay ones for $4-5 so $7.50 is still ok.

    • I'm all for buying el cheapo HDMI cables - but I've had a few fall apart just from simple applications, such as plugging in and out occasionally.

  • Bought mine from Selby and Kmart. Kmart do 5m for $10. They also have cheap spdif cheap if you don't want to buy online.

About 8 cheap HDMI cables have distortion/interference or have broken for me. The ozbargain thought that cheap $2 cables are the same as $100 ones are plain BS. My $18 3m one is the cheapest cable with no perceptible problem so far.

Just picked up the last of them from Geelong Westfield. No stock in Northland, Werribee Plaza, Highpoint and Doncaster (gave them a call).

You've got to give the OP points for excellent photo composition!

  • No more at Knox, picked up some optical cables for my Apple tv and ps3 as the hdmi is busted! 2m $7.50,3m are $15 and the 1m one's are left.

  • Can confirm these are still full RRP at Westfield Chermside

    • The full price HDMI cables are not the discontinued lines that are on clearance for $7.50. If they were on clearance they would scan through at the checkout at that price as Myer have the same pricing system through all stores.

      • +1

Well I'm only pointing out that at their Chermside store they're NOT labeled as clearance, there is no clearance section for cables and if the store hasn't marked them down for customers theres not much else I can say!

  • You know why $7.50 for this is worth it?

Lifetime warranty. Get that from ya msy and ebay cables!

    • The cables I bought hAd the 'lifetime warranty' covered by a white sticker inside the packet. Does that mean no lifetime warranty?

  • -Minus points off for not using ING 5% PayWave.

  • Plenty at Myer Bankstown….. Thx op.

  • How does this get so many +ve votes?

  • This cable is attractive. I'd pay a couple of bucks more for a good looking cable over an ebay cheapo.

Jamell Cables are selling 2m HDMI for $7.50 on their website, but on ebay for $4.95! Just bought 2. Free shipping. :)

  • There is some telling marketing on the back of the PROHD1000 models, their bottom of the line (retailing at $99 previously!!!).

    3000 - High speed with ethernet 15.86GBPS - Full HD 1080P, 3D, 200hz, 48bit deep colour
    2000 - High speed (no mention of ethernet but 1.4 still…) 10.2GPBS, 3D - Full HD 1080P - 200hz - 48 bit deep color
    1000 - Standard speed with ethernet 6.68GPBS - 1080i only! - no 3d! - 100hz! - 16bit color!

Now I'd thought 6.68 was just fine for 1080p, SCAM
