I never win competitions/lottery… This would make up for it.

    • I think a win like this would make up for it 1000 times over :p

      • Yep.. how many km would you put on it? I'd say 500km/per year. :) It'd be so hard to justify.

        • i'd sell it straight away to get the $$

        • @mattgal:

Yeah I was thinking I'd just drive it around the block a few times and that's it to avoid the astronomical insurance cost :p Guess I'm not a true car enthusiast though.

  • 5,000km for a 1972 car seems a bit suspicious

Best not to enter then, leave the rest of us to be in the running to be duped ;)

    • It seems its an ex race car and has been restored, probably has a new tacho. Seems a lot of cash for a 4 door, but would be nice to win.

    • "Our latest giveaway car is a 1972 Holden HQ GTS tribute car. The car has race history too, serving in the Touring Car Masters wars, but it has been retired from competition and beautifully restored by the team at Bendigo Retro Muscle Cars.

We haven’t left it stock though. Under the bonnet is a healthy 355ci Holden stroker, backed by a Tremec five-speed and Harrop diff. Koni shocks, four-wheel discs and a set of Simmons B45s complete the picture."

    • Don't they only need fit a reconditioned engine to legally reset the speedo?

  • I'd really like to test drive it over the weekend, just to confirm if I want to win it or not bother entering.

Id really prefer an XY Shaker or a Phase III.

But hey! If I win the HQ I could use it as a holding deposit for the Shaker. :-)
