My wife probably needs a new phone - she's not a tech-head but we're an Android family. So I'm thinking of a Nexus 5. Does anybody know any good deals available on the Nexus 5? Any other suggestions?

I went from a Nexus 5 to a G3.
The G3 is far better phone in my opinion. for $70 extra. It's a no brainer.
I wouldn't go back to a Nexus 5 after experiencing the G3
If you can't afford the G3 or if you prefer a smaller size, the G2 is pretty darn good, the bezels are razor thin, battery life is good and best of all the 32GB version is less than $400.
Been looking in this space recently and the LG G3 seems to trump the Nexus 5 because of the addition of 700MHz (Band 28, iirc) LTE. Depends if you need it, but it's a must for me since Telstra/international carriers are installing it. There's reviews of 'lag' on the G3 but it seems any flagship phone isn't without some issue.
Recent prices on the Nexus 5 are around $430 AUD delivered and for the LG G3 I found it for $499 delivered, so pretty close.
The Xperia Z3 looks interesting as well, though more a fair bit more expensive.
