Hi Folks
I'm interested on your thoughts.I have just opened an ING Orange Everyday and Savings Maximiser account. It seemed to easy. I didn't have to go through the 100 point check, as I have done in the past when opening a bank account. They just wanted my name, address, DOB and tax file number, is this the usual way of doing things now?
Thanks in advance for your comments.

You need 100 points for online… And they didn't accept VIC drivers licenses :(

    • happeneed to me too but they do now.

  • a lot of information can be checked online. if they can't adequately verify your information then they might ask you to go to australia post. i was under the impression that online-only accounts are easier to open. if you get a transaction account then they might need your drivers license or other similar id.

I'd be very surprised that the 100 point check is no more. Especially in this age of metadata retention..

    I'd say you've either:
    1) Just filled out an "expression of interest" form and they'll be posting you paperwork to fill out and do the 100 point ID check.
    or
    2) given Phishers some minor personal details and they'll be back for more very soon.

  • I think before you can make any withdrawal you will need to complete the 100 points checks.
