Would a 3.3v 4AMP powersupply work on for Accupower IQ328 charger ?

Hi battery experts ,
Looking around there arent many 3v 4amp power supplies but I found this HP AC Power Supply 5188-4680 3.3VDC 4.0A.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-ORIGINAL-HP-5188-4680-Access-…
I do not want to buy the stock power supply/adaptor I want to buy a high quality power supply thats a brick - one that looks like a laptop power supply.
The powersupply on the IQ 328 is rated 3v 4amp it is the same and fits in the Lacross bc700.

Would this work "well" on my Accupower IQ328 ? The powersupply I want to use on the IQ 328 is 3.3v while the stock Accupower IQ328 is rated at 3v.

Its only 0.3v difference (I doubt the fuze would blow) but is it good or bad running a 3.3v powersupply on a 3.0v Accupower IQ328 charger ? And I also got an female adaptor plugs in case the plug on the HP wont fit

  • Previously brought a universal charger from Audi. (like this https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/universal-battery-charger/ ) the power supply failed outta the blue on day less than a year from date purchased.Sent it back for warranty got replacement and once again the powersupply failed. It was out of warranty then so I had a switching mode laptop powersupply. Set it to 12v output and plugged in charger it works great till this day no more failing. So I want to do the same with the Accupower IQ328.

Reason why brought a accupower iq328 charger after reading that its cheaper and better built than the Lacross. When I received it the power supply was faulty. So i sent it back and got a replacement.I read pplz reviews saying their power supplies on their IQ329 and also the Lacross BC700 charger suddenly fail after a few years.I want my charger to service me for a reasonable time (5 years or more) and not play into planned obsolescence.

I went ahead and ordered 2 more Accupower IQ328 chargers and ordered the HP powersupply from ebay waiting for it to arrive.

You're keen. With right plug and polarity, it should be fine. Extra .3 of a V, not a worry. HP do it with their usb supplies, too - there it compensates a little for using longer cables and provides slightly faster charging. All good.

    • hehe yup ! its my first high end charger been playing with it for the past 2 days !
Cool , thx for clarifying that feel more confident plugging in the new power supply when it arrives.
Ill update my post when it arrives report to see if it was successful or not.
