Dirt Cheap (Filthy in Fact) USB Flash/Thumb Drives

I'm trying to find a source for dirt cheap flash drives. Size doesn't matter much. Even just 500MB would do at the moment. But they must be rewritable (so I can't just use 50cent CDs for example). www.dx.com starts around $4! Which is far too expensive for something that will be given away. Prefer something around a $1 (or less is even better). Can anyone help?

    Check AliExpress

    The minimum seems to be US$0.85 per drive and there are heaps of different types (novelty and plainer ones)

      Thanks for this. Was looking last night and there's many. I've been aware of this site for years but always been wary of buying from them - not so much that I'll lose that money - but everything else that's in the bank account!

        Hmm yeah googling seems to give lots of examples too! I guess it's because they're like a hub site and you buy direct from a supplier rather than aliexpress themselves.

        If you can't find any other suppliers maybe you can use a prepaid credit card or something?

    Work needed 500ish 64MB drives for a similar task a couple of years back. I didn't order them, so I don't know the exact cost, but I think it ended up being ~2.20US US from one of the China mobs, with about half the cost being shipping.

    The quality of the logo printing was surprisingly good for the cost, but we had about a 10% DOA rate and a lot died in the following months quickly. Depending on what exactly you need to do, you might need to take this into account.

    For those find this thread later… I just realised all the 1GB USB Flash Drives on AliExpress now have a "less-than or equal-to" symbol next to them. Then, down in the item description, the sellers claim the website won't allow them to select a value less than 1GB, so all 1GB will be tiny - just MBs! So obviously they've found a way to flog off all the junk they used to format as bigger sizes. So sick and tired of dishonest people!
