Buro Metro Office Chair $299 Shipped (Save $30) @ Staples

I believe this has been cheaper in the past ($279) but has not been that price for around 6 months. Based on the sad state of the AUD this may be as cheap as it gets for a while.

It is a very popular chair on Whirlpool, and should be the best chair at this price point.

Notable Features:
- Australian Made
- Suitable for 8hr usage
- 150kg Usage Capacity
- 10 yr warranty

For $300 I really want something with a higher back and a larger seat (both length and width wise). and those armrests look uncomfortable.

    • Half our staff use these and are very comfy. Armrests are removable.

go and buy a herman miller chair then

      • Agreed, personally I regretted and should have paid extra for the Herman miller ($1000 for a chair might be outrageous but you pay for what you get). The Buro in my opinion beats most of theose cheapie chairs but not worth the $270 at all IMHO it is only worth a max $200 chair but I was skimping and thought after all the Positives I will buy one and can't say I am happy with it, my arm rest wobbles since day 1 and seat is a bit silky smooth for my liking but it is very solid and heavy. Just my 2 cents. Anyone wants a second hand for $125 pick up in Chatswood NSW, PM me (sorry no Tyre kickers please as I am just flat out at work).
        Cheers.

        • PM'd

        • I also have a Herman Miller Aeron. It's a good, long lasting chair but it too has weaknesses.

If it's Australian made why would the AUD have an impact on price?

      just 'cause…

Depends how they word Australian made.
It seems quite trendy for companies to say "Assembled in Australia, Components sourced from foreign countries"

I bought an office chair and I had to assemble it. Does that make it "Assembled in Australia?"

        • Yes

  • Bought one of these last year. Very good chair for the price.

I got the DX Racer a few weeks ago.
That has a good 180 degree recline which I like.
But the padding on this one looks to be a bit more comfortable?

  • Thanks op. Been looking for a chair.

was $279, then price matched to office works for another 10% off (special price matching at that time).

The seat is very comfortable, but I don't like the armrest, they're made of a hard plastic

    • Moulded padded plastic actually and height adjustable. I find it very comfortable

  • Have one of these. Very comfortable - good quality for price.

My housemate has one of those. Put it bluntly, it's a piece of crap.

      • Ok thanks :)

    • It looks very comfort

  • Cosco has similar model. Armrest can fold up too.

Just a note, if you're looking to spend a bit more (approx $505 shipped) your more premium option I feel is an Ergohuman ver 1 from eBay. I've used one extensively and they are incredibly comfortable and the mesh seat is great.
