  DON'T use 1&1, you'll regret it. Their system is super slow when you change your nameservers…

You should look into transferring your domain to namecheap or similar. It's a much friendlier company than GoDaddy (remember the whole Godaddy supporting SOPA debacle?). I use NC for all of my domains, after using GoDaddy in the past and getting sick of their ridiculous and often pathetic attempts at trying to upsell me and keep me as a customer.

The expiration notices they give are somewhat threatening, and clearly targeted at newer users ("you will be liable for an $80 fee if you don't RENEW NOW!!!" etc).

Anyway, I don't know where this rant is going but definitely transfer AWAY from godaddy ASAP.
