Oil change for $99, I buy 5l of good quality semi-synth for under 20
http://m.supercheapauto.com.au/Product/Penrite-Everyday-Plus…. Oil filter bulk buy off eBay ~$10. Job done for 1/3 the price, pay yourself the $70 labour costs for 1/2 hour job max ;) No mistakes with over torquing bolts or not replacing crush washers like a lot of these places.

Your amazing.. I bet you do you own pluming and renovations too.

      Thanks Devo93 for your comment.

You may be able to buy oil and oil filter for $30 but we also provide safety report and inspection report for major things. Again this is not to sell you anything but as a part of our job to inform every car owner about their cars.

You also need to consider that we need to pay salary to our staff and all other outgoings. We spend more than 30 mins behind all things mentioned above. we don't make fortune with this deal but we want to show our customers the difference between previous management and new management. our goal is to be honest and at forefront in providing right and better customer service.

This is a same thing like I can buy a water tap for $10 from Bunnings but I will have to pay nearly $100 to get that tap fixed by certified plumbers.

Thanks and have a great day.

I am always very cautious with this type of advertised 'deal'.
Often pressured to fix things that 'should' be fixed/replaced etc. and end up paying waay more than necessary.
    Buyer beware.

    • Thanks Macamaca for your comments,

As I said in my previous response under new management we want to change things and we will give customer a first priority.

There is no catch. We provide a safety report based on the inspections and it is up to the customer to get things fixed based on customer's priority. I cannot comment on the practices and procedures used by other mechanics but I can confidently say that we do not follow these procedures to loose trust from our customers.

Thanks and have a great day.

I bought one them memberships they sold in shopping centres. Said labour was included in the membership and I "only" had to pay for parts. Ended up forking a fair bit for parts and they tried to pressure me into fixing other things. Avoided them since.

    • Hi CaptainAwesomee,

      Thanks for your comment.

Under new management we are open to listen to the customers concern and queries. I cannot provide justification for the services you had received from previous management but I can assure you that we always ask customers whether they want to spend money or not based on important things(again not to sell anything but for genuine reason) from the safety report. it is up to the customers to get things fixed. we do not force customers to sell anything.

Give us a go and I bet you won't regret your visit to our store.

Thanks and have a great day.

A Midas rep approached me in a car park offering $900 of services for 'only $99'. 3 services from memory.

Turns out they charged an oil change at around $100, coolant change around that too, brake inspection $50, etc. The kicker was that all parts were EXTRA. Yes, on top of the alleged usual '$900 services' they charged extra for oil, filters, consumables, etc.

I don't understand business that massively inflate their normal charges, then 'discount' them and scream at you that you're getting an 80% off deal. Some people may be impressed at the bargain they're allegedly getting, but others would surely think the normal pricing is the biggest rip off in town and that customers are suckers.

    • Hi Cluster,

      Thanks for mentioning your concern.

No body should be paying more than what they should be. We are getting customers for this $99 voucher ( Midas service Pass) and we are charging them based on the charges written on the Midas Service Plan. Minor service costs $75 based on the voucher and Major service costs $149. There are many products for reduced charges on Midas Service PASS. We do not charge money for Labour based on the Midas Service Pass.

It is definitely good value for money as we follow charges written on that. No hidden charges.

Thanks and have a great weekend.

  • Under new management….were you promoted from Assistant Manager and the old Manager demoted?

    • Hi Dean04.

It is always good to receive a promotion but not in this case. We have new staff and new management. I should say New Franchisee is in place now. We want to correct all things in right way which was not done before. This store will be upgraded soon to meet customers expectations.

You can judge us by getting response to your comment in few minutes. In short, we are here to stay to listen and provide a best customer service to our customers. we want to be known for honesty and better customer experience. We will be adding many more features for the customers soon like free courtesy car.

Thanks and Have a great day.

Good on you for being honest and upfront.

I hope you find people are willing to pay good money to not be ripped off.

Ozbargain is a good place to spread good word of mouth- being an engaged and responsive rep on here certainly helps too- well done so far!

        • Hi Damoo,

Thanks for your comment and suggestion.

As you may know that you can find pretty cheap deals on Groupon for $19, $29, $50 car service. I cannot comment on what you get for that small amount but We don't want to give a wrong impression to the customer.

We make sure that we deliver what we have promised based on our charges. our goal is simple, provide an honest and better service to our customers and always be open to listen and resolve their issues.

          Have a great day.
