  • Note - shows $59.95 + $10 delivery before adding to cart, but $29.98 + $10 delivery in cart ;-)

Flat $10 delivery on orders under $150, so check out other specials at no extra delivery cost.

    Should be $29.98 in store.

1 week Stocktaking Sale starting 28/1 listed Denton Medirest Pillows at 40% off ($56.95, reg $99.95), other Manchester 40-60% off. Now much cheaper.

I certainly enjoy a good sleep on this pillow.

    • If it's a 1 week sale starting 28/1, wouldn't it have finished on 4/2?

      • Yes, that's how 1 week sales work.

So much cheaper online after that sale, in this deal.

Was also a warning that stock levels would likely be low after a 40% off sale. All gone now.

        • I thought my math was right.

        • @whodidthat:
And I though sale date, length of sale, past tense of sale description of pillow price, & "Now much cheaper" explained sale had finished, without your maths ;-)

Yes, I did use "starting" as the catalogue described it using that term & I transcribed it without changing the tense - mea culpa.

I'm sure there are sites to show off your prowess with words, dates & maths. But I'm liable to give you detention when this sale ends (oops it has ended) ;-)

        • @brucefromaustralia: Detention would be a new experience for me.

        • @whodidthat:
That's what they all say ;-)
Sounds like you might like it way too much.

        • @brucefromaustralia: Where do I go for the first experience?

        • @whodidthat:
You don't know? What an amateur!
Be in the bedding department of HS at closing time tomorrow night. I'll bring the equipment :-O

        • @brucefromaustralia: I told you it was a first.

        • @whodidthat:
Ah, but you are not my first. Check out the other contender in another post. I think bleugh might be more experienced than you, Grasshopper.

        • @brucefromaustralia: Anyone is more experienced than me with regards to detention.

  • when I process until payment its still $60??

    • I just paid with PayPal
      Welcome back, B.
      Pay with
      MasterCard x-xxxx $39.98

But worth checking in-store, if close, to possibly save $10 delivery.

      • so instore is $40.Online is $60??? postage cost $10

        • +1

Didn't you read my comment with copy of online PayPal payment of $39.98?

As OP described, price drops AFTER you place in cart, and that $29.98 + $10 delivery is what is charged, totalling $39.98.

Store may be $29.98 as there is no delivery charge.

        • Sorry for grumpy reply. I need a new pillow ;-)

It was a strange pricing - where price halved after placing in cart. Tricked me, until I re-read deal description.

  • It's designed for SIDE sleepers.

The others in the range aren't reduced as much as this model, just half retail. This model was already on sale, so 50% off sale price is even better.

Lucky I'm a side sleeper. This has been a great pillow for years, so it was time to replace.

    Thanks, needed some new pillows.

Also I don't think you need to spend over $150 in total to get free shipping. The Pre-discount price just has to be over $150.

  • Just been talking to local store on telephone, they said they do not always have the same prices as online.

    They quoted http://www.harrisscarfe.com.au/bed%2cbath-%26-home-decor/bed… as $79

    Sold out online

    • Reported.

  • Just bought. 2 left?! Sold out when I just checked again. Strange.

  • Has anyone been successful getting one from a store at this price?

I got a call from them today saying the price on the website was wrong. It should have been $79 but on special at $59.95

    • Of course the price was wrong, that's why it was a good deal.
      Hope they deliver.

      • No one said it was the wrong price, it is quite possible that it was a clearance item.

In fact, you yourself said "Should be $29.98 in store."

        • It was unlikely that there would be a 50% discount on a highly reduced item, giving 70% off & half price of previous weeks sale price I mentioned above.

Mentioning pricing error usually leads to stampede of orders (alerting the trader with usual cancellation) & lots of useless debate. I've been attacked for saying similar thoughts in the past, even though it turned out to be correct.

I had enough bother convincing one person that the price in the cart was half that shown against the product, and a debate over my use of present vs past tense. Opening up a new issue would have been foolish ;-)

I only suspected a price error - possibly that the price hadn't been set back to presale price before next sale. Same as I suspected limited stock just after a sale of these pillows. If HS deliver on the orders, it doesn't matter if it was a pricing error.

I did suggest checking store price as is normally online price, without delivery charge. But online price was wrong, there was little stock & it sold out quickly.

I'm still enjoying this pillow - my old one.
          Pity you missed out.

        • In hindsight, maybe "Should be $29.98 in store, as long as it's not a pricing error" if you did suspect?

As I said, deals like this COULD be genuine clearance items, just so happens this wasn't one of them.

Yes, it is a pity I missed out, but I found a better pillow at half price anyway (HS did offer the pillow to me at $59.95 but at that point I'd already found the other one).

        • @whodidthat:
My "Of course" remark was not meant to be taken that seriously. Forgot the ;-) after it. Honest ;-)
Just thought others also viewed it as an error on HS system we were exploiting to get great price.

At that time, store price should have been same as online, even with pricing error when scanned.

But by time you checked stores, it was probably corrected online. (Was it?) I reported as removed / out of stock 15 minutes after your comment.

Did store quote scanned price or sticker price? Sticker price would unlikely be this price. It was necessary to check scanned price. Just as in this deal online, price on product would likely not be price charged. Staff in my local HS answer calls walking around their section of the store, so most likely would view sticker price, but may have looked up computer.

I always love the look on the face of a staff member who says sticker price is the scanned price, argues against scanning, then realises scanned price is much lower. Happened to me last night. They can't believe it :-)

Glad you got a good pillow.

        • @brucefromaustralia: No, there were still 3 showing in stock when I contacted the local store. They said they don't always have the same prices as online and that the pillow in store was $79 (they checked on computer/till).

I agree that prices online and in store SHOULD be the same. Had the store have been closer (it's about a 40 minute drive) I would have gone there to "argue the point" but given that online then sold out it also made the effort less worthwhile - if you get my drift.

        • @whodidthat:
I certainly wouldn't have gone to store without checking first. After the sale the week before, stock level may have been 0. And I can walk to new HS. It was worth ordering online even with $10 delivery to ensure price & stock - although nothing is assured. Orders may be cancelled.

        • @brucefromaustralia:
The local store still has stock but wouldn't sell for less than $79.
The group, as a whole, must still have stock when I was offered one at $59.95.

I'm wondering what they will do if the price was wrong, whether they will fulfill orders or refund.
The guy who called me said $29.98 was cost price.
