This is a US site with $795 being US currency, not AUD. No shipping charges mentioned. Please try again.

Did you not learn anything from you Feb 5th post that had all the same mistakes?

    • Now he has that stuff… but if I select Australia on the site it says $113 USD postage and the subject says $270…

    • sorry, I don't know how to describe the shipping cost as DHL have different shipping cost for different country. Next time i would do like you, thank you.

      • Can you specify if this is a "refurbished" or brand new.

For all of those who's interested: Cisco has announced, on 31 October 2013, the End-of-Sale and End-of-Life Announcement for the Cisco Catalyst 2960 Series Switches. The end-of-sale date of the entire plain 2960 series family is 31 October 2014.

By the way, this is NOT a "deal". The OP is selling an "outdated" piece of equipment for brand new.

        • as for the announcement from cisco u mentioned is true, but generally, as there are so many suppliers who is selling cisco products and will put many cisco products in store, so the end-of-sale announcement doesn't mean there is no this type of product on the market. Thank u for ur question.: )

      • Store rep this is an Australian website, you only need to state 1 shipping cost - Australia. You also need to write $US in title. Thanks

  • No offense but I can't really see the target market.

Not a great deal. Everyday price from a vendor on Amazon: $853UD. Shipping to AU: $140. Total: $993USD. That's $72 less than the 'deal' and it's every day.

edit and if you have a US forwarding address, you're likely to get it shipped for less too.

and edit again.. if You're in the market for this kind of switch, look at the HP stuff. I migrated away from my Cisco switching stuff years ago and have never looked back. They operate a little differently to IOS obviously, but bang-for-buck, they're great (and a lifetime advance replacement warranty i've used twice without fault). The HP stuff has gone up a little in price, but it's often still a lot cheaper than the Cisco equivalent.

Not a deal. I would rather buy a Layer 3 switch. C2950/60 is getting old now (2nd hand is much cheaper).

  • LOL not even gigabit… welcome to yestertech.

    • yes, 2960 series is not a gigabit switch, if you want a gigabit switch, you can choose 2960S, 2960G, 3560 series switch and etc.

  • Couldn't you accomplish the same thing as this 48 port switch by rosy-chaining several switches together via cable?
Even a 16 port gigabit switch is only $79 and that was the first link I found on google http://www.mwave.com.au/product/tplink-tlsg1016d-16port-giga…

    • Not really. Your core speed will be limited to your uplink speed when spanning switches… Unless you have a stacking cable of some form.

edit: But the point of a Cisco catalyst switch is that it is configurable. It's in a different class to the ol' $79 job (but there are many other alternatives at a lower price than Cisco)
