  • More of a link than a tip, but hopefully it's still helpful:

  • I bought my home set from Kmart. Its mostly 3 different size barbels with interchangable weights. I believe it was $40 on sale.

  • I just noticed this daily deal on a treadmill which claims to be 57% off (though I really suspect that's a big exaggeration)

… I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s still available tomorrow however, as that site hasn’t quite been living up to its promise of the time left counter. Often when the clock hits zero the same product’s still there and it starts at 24 again. Delivery to Sydney is also $55.

  • I guess it depends on how inexpensive you mean.

I purchased my exercise equiptment via the TVSN website. They sometimes have great bargains and also offer very handy monthly payment plans for larger purchases.

I bought both an Reebok exercise bike and treadmill (at different times) with significant savings and using the payment plans. Delivery pretty fast via courier too and if you spend a certain amount per year ie over $1000 they give your $50.00 credit for free.

They have some treadmills, elipticals and an example that they have available at the moment is a recumbant exercise bike $499 reduced down to $299 with payment plan available:

don't buy from him. this account was created today with only 1 post.

      • And with such a welcoming reply to a new user, I probably won't post again.

        • What you post is no bargain. You may just be trying to advertise your own store or scam other people. I know if you bought items from them you wouldn't go into that much details explaining about the payment option and especially what they have at the moment.

          • @[Deactivated]: My post is not a scam and I certainly don't own TVSN.

Since you are such a sceptic here is the deal I got ($399):
            https://www.itvsn.com.au/include/sweb.dll/product?product=20…

And here is the same model bike on the only other Australian website I can find it at ($1089):

I got a similarly attractive deal on the matching treadmill. As for the payment plans, they are effectively like an interest free loan….and last time I looked, anything interest free is a good deal provided you actually pay it off on time.

Obviously the awesome deals don't last forever, so in my original post I just picked out an item that seemed to me like a good saving.

            Bye.

  • shutup hustle… everyone starts somewer.

  • Yeah, admire your diligence in double checking posts for ulterior motives Hustle, but it seems a little premature to accuse sparkles so early.

Offering comprehensive information should be seen as a good thing and shouldn't immediately be treated as suspicious. Also, TVSN is unlikley to need anonymous spruiking on Ozbargain to promote their wares!

But back on topic, I picked my all in one home gym from Kmart a few years ago… still in excellent condition, though that is probably due to my lack of use recently ;)

For other equipment, the deal a day sites and online stores can sometimes offer some decent prices… remember my father picked up some treadmill thing from oo.com.au, then a few weeks later, similar thing was on one of the deal a day sites for $100 less. If you're not in a rush, just keep an eye out on Ozbargain, someone will post something relevant up I'm sure!

  • thanks guys
