Recommend Me a New Laser Printer

Hello all

After buying a cheap epson and receiving two faulty units i've decided to follow the advice of ozbargain and spend the extra money to buy a laser printer.
I print in black and white 99% of the time so I'm looking at the cheapest laser printer under $50.

Don't need any fancy features just needs to be reliable and preferably have cheap toner replacement although i'm guessing at this price bracket throwing out the printer would be a better option.

The two models i've found within my price bracket are:

Brother HL-1110 Compact Monochrome Laser Printer - $39

Fuji Xerox Docuprint DPP215BB Mono LED Laser Printer - $44

I'm not sure which of these two is the better buy or if there's any other model I should look at.

Thanks heaps for any advice !

  • Not sure about this particular model but my brother laser printer works really well and I use it alot. Remember to go to Inkstation for the discount on toners too:)

  • I haven't had any probs with the Brother HL1110 and its cheap $38:

  • Judging by the reviews i think i'll go with the brother, I especially like the fact that it has cheap refills.

  • another same forum topic…..:(

    search here

but yes i need one too
auto duplex in printing is a must, plus auto duplex scanning if possible
    and copy scan fax print

  • Don't look at the price of the printer, look at the price of the toners. These can cost 3 times as much as the printer itself and some run out faster than others.

I've been running a HP black and white laser printer for like 8 years and only changed toner once in that time.

  • I would highly recommend a brother laser printer. Cheap printer and cheap toner. Never missed a beat over 4 years of approximately 25,000 pages.
