Advice Needed Re. Wrong Item Received

Guys I need some advice. I recently ordered the Sennheiser Momentum Over-Ears headphones in black. It was during the recent 179$ special, so of course it has disappeared already. I got it after 5 days and when I opened it it is the wrong color (brown). Also there are some blemishes on the cables, like it got stuck in white wet paint. Any ideas? The black color was definitely in stock when I ordered. I also double-checked the receipt and it indeed is for the black ones. Despite my dislike for the color, what happens if I need to send it for service? Will they accept the receipt with the wrong color?

    I don't see why not, especially if there's a blemish on the product.

  • Complain, and do so loudly. They've given you not only the wrong product, but a 'damaged' one. I'd not only ask to have the correct earphones sent, but would ask for something for the trouble too.

    Don't be scared to push it either, they've messed you around so you deserve something for the trouble. I did it with Harvey Norman a few months back when they sent me the wrong colour flash drive, I complained, got the right one and a $25 gift card with it too.

    Although I've heard dick smiths customer service leaves a lot to be desired, so just make sure you put your foot down :)
