One for the families!
The NBN is about to launch two satellites into orbit. They will be used to help bring high-speed broadband to rural and regional Australia.
If you're between five and twelve years old, we'd like you to come up with a drawing or painting to decorate the nose cone of one of the rockets that will carry a satellite into space. Your design should show 'How the NBN will make Australia a better country'.
What you could win when you Shoot For The Stars
- Eight finalists (one from each State and Territory) along with a parent or guardian will win a trip to Questacon - that's the science museum in Canberra!
- The grand prize winner not only wins a trip to Questacon, but their drawing or painting will be stamped on the nose cone of a rocket!
- The grand prize winner's school also gets to rocket into history – the school’s students get to work with NBN Co to name one of the satellites and all the bragging rights that come with it.
Entries open on 9 February 2015 and close on 15 March 2015. The winner will be announced here on 1 May 2015.
