Hi, I am looking for good DVD to store my precious travel photos. Won't need many, one for USA, plus a few other places. I have portable HDD but partly because I want something for permanent collection, and fear of HDD fail on me. I've googled and noted some but it gets too technical for me…..

Taiyo Yuden. Best brand of DVD around. MSY sells this, I think, but if not can also buy from eBay.
Verbatim DataLifePlus is also pretty good reportedly.
And storing data long term on -rw or +rw is not a good idea, always store on ordinary DVD-R's.
