Everyday Bank Account

Hey guys, i'm looking to start a bank account as a joint account type thing where me and my partner put funds into each week to pay just our rent/bills/housing goods etc. Looking for something with no fee and can do debit payments. Anyone have any reccomendations?

Cheers

  • me and my partner have a ubank ultra and saver as our joint. pay goes in directly to the ubank saver account and direct debits come out of the ubank ultra. the instant sweep means we never have to worry about having enough money in for direct debits

    • Although I do use usaver and ultra to have access to my savings, I can't imagine using ultra on everyday basis as a transaction account. The internet banking is extremely slow since it is based on Flash. The mobile app is also terrible :(

      • yep, thats why we only use it for direct debits (we dont carry the physical cards with us), we have citibank CC and ing for that

For everyday type accounts like that, fee free, etc. try your local building society.

    • You would need a DeLeoran to check out your local building society in Victoria.
(And hopefully avoid Pyramid Building Society)

      • Not sure what you mean bud but not being familiar with everything involved in living in Victoria is a problem. Some people do live in other states.
