Just Cuts have in the past delivered me the worst hair cuts of my life. Each Just Cut I have been to, most of the staff seem ill trained and overconfident on their ability to cut hair to a customers liking.

      Agreed

They are atrocious. They aren't cheap at normal prices and they just do a quick hack job and get you out of the chair as fast as they can.

    • +1

yeah you're better off walking up Lizzie st & visiting the many $10-15 butchers errr I mean apprentices/trainees trying to get their visa.

    • I personally liked the hair cut hence I posted the deal. I have been to Best cuts on Williams St in past and had bad experience. Never been to the cheap hair dressers on William st. I am not sure how can they afford to do $10 hair cuts when the minimum wages for hair dresser Mon to Fri is over $24.

Easy - don't muck about. Some barbers get right down to business, hands flying about with the grace of a pianist. Others are slow and deliberate, as if they've hardly ever done it before.
With practice, 10 minutes should be plenty.

      • because they're probably not getting paid (much or at all) for their work experience in order to get their visa. For some reason the Govt has decided that there's a shortage of hairdressers, go figure.

      • That's because they get $24/hr. At those places, they don't spend an hour with you. Basic cuts are quick and easy if they know what they're doing. They may forgo the wash before the cut with wash and style being extra.
Running a number 2 clipper on your head isn't exactly all that time consuming.

Looking at the poster- I'll keep them in mind if I ever want to join a boy-band.

The guy looks like he has a mullet. Perhaps they're doing the hair for Mad Max 4?

      • +1

Dude. The mullet never went out of style.

Theres quite a few 15 dollar hair cuts places dotted around the CBD. One on Elizabeth, and one on Bourke opposite Target. Never been though.

    • +3

Yeah $29 seems a bit steep for a low end chain hairdressers.

Oh my, I always thought $20 was an expensive men's haircut!

    • +1

Yea; save $9, that's almost what a man's haircut costs haha.

  • Dear OP, I hope you've asked the hairdresser before making her famous on OZB :)

    Is $20 for a men's haircut a bargain? I don't think so.

    • Sorry I should have cropped the picture.

I also got my shampoo for $6 - It was in a bottle from the supermarket.

  • Damn, I want to see her face

  • thriftpros, where do you find cheap haircuts ($10±5) around melbourne?

    • The guy on Carlisle st in Balaclava out the back of a 2 dollar shop does great cuts for $10

    • I swear there are heaps of those in Footscray.

  • @master1 - I'm getting the vibe that you're being paid for these endorsements.

    • No I don't get any kick back for posting this. This would be my last post here. This one didn't go well. Someone gave -1 to all my comments :(. I will just be lurking as I have done in past.

      • Aameen….

  • I also have had some TERRIBLE experiences with Just Cuts in the past. HOWEVER, I get my hair cut at this particular Just Cuts and the hairdressers there are good. It is just a franchise after all so the quality at each shop will vary depending on the franchisee.

  • Im pretty sure I splurged out and spent $20 on my haircut when I got married. Other than that it's capped at $16 and that's only after I've cut it myself 3 or 4 times in a row.
