Did I Pay Too Much ?

Hello ,
I just wanna know if i paid too much or not . I know it's pretty late to ask since i already bought the car. Car model is (MY08) 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer CJ ES 4D Sedan ( Tiptronic type ) with rego untill end of june . OD is 43000 only with full Mitsubishi dealer service history. with RWC , transfer fees i paid nearly 10000$ as i am going to change all the tyres to better one. I was looking at the gumtree and carsales all the price are over 10000$ with nearly 100k OD.

Sorry forget to ask another question . The service was done every 10 months so how does it work ? my next service is for 56k or in oct of 2015. it's interval service or with kilo ? I m very new to car Sorry for the confusing question.
Thanks a Lot.

2008 with low KM like that seems like a good deal to me

  • That's a pretty reasonable price, especially for an auto and such low km. Enjoy it.

Servicing is done by kms or time - if you haven't done the requisite number of km by the time the time is up, its time for a service (although I usually stretch this out a bit and therefore typically get my car serviced once every 10,000km or 17-18 months)

i dont get it, you paid less than 10k for a car with low kms, and there the same car listed on sites for 10k+ with higher kms, and you think you paid too much? wot?

    • it is like i said in my post . i just want to know did i pay too much or not . we all knows no one pay the quote price from gumtree or carsales . that's why i m asking . Not that i can do anything about it now anymore but i want to know did i get good deal or not. Thanks You

      • in that case, id say that you got a "bargain"

7yr old car, medium sized car, good brand. what more can you ask for! :D

Enjoy your new car and a pat on your back for choosing to change the tyres to better one. Don't cheap out on tyres. I use Michelin Pilot Sports 3 on my FTO (Front wheel drive car like yours), brilliant wet and dry grip, and lasts long.

Also according to Redbook, that model car with 110,000 km has a price value of $9,200 in private sales, so nope you didn't pay too much. :)

Did you check under the Bonut?

Thanks You all for the reply in short time now i feel better :D

  • Buyers remorse? Anyway, if you couldn't find a cheaper car and it doesnt give you problems within the first 6 months you'll know its a good deal. You may want to check the battery, sometimes the original battery is good enough to last 7 years and you'll have one that is on the verge of dying soon.

  • how about a 2010 Mazda 6 Auto with 75,000Kms for $16,000?
