What are your OzBargainer saving methods for topping up Opal cards? I know you can use ING/ME 5% cash back at Woolworths and get Everyday Reward (EDR) points, but does Opal top up work with targeted EDR offers such as $15 off $100?
Any other ways to get more bang for buck? Feel free to share your experiences.
So if I top up my Opal Card at Woolies (Lets say $50 a week for 3 weeks) using my Woolies Everyday Reward card, I can still get the bonus reward they offer in the email?
If so, I didn't know that! Will it work? Has anyone done this?
I have only ever topped up online and at the newsagent.
I have used the email from everyday rewards ,spend $100 and get $15 back , recharged 2 times for $100 each and got $15 voucher to use next purchase at the end of receipt , really happy saved 15%
I got EDR targeted email - spend $40 and get instant $10 back today. Would it still work on opal card top up at Woollies? Has anyone tried it lately?
I've been able to use edr targeted offers on opal topups, and saved a good amount. I've often had niggling issues from the cashiers on exactly how to put them through on the registers, but so long as the offers don't explicitly exclude opal topups then they end up going through.
