Venue for 21st Birthday in CBD or surrounding areas (potential BYO?)

Hey guys,

Planning on hosting a 21st birthday and looking for a venue. I'm potentially thinking of doing an afternoon shindig with probably 75-150 people. My question is, does anyone know any decent inner-city suburb venues that would allow BYO alcohol? I know it's tough, but the drink costs will destroy my wallet given how many people I'm thinking of inviting.

I'm thinking I may have a little more hope given that I'm not looking to take the venue for night time, they may be more lenient with the BYO issue.. maybe not, who knows.

Or if anyone has successfully hosted a party of that size in the inner-city with decent deals on bar tabs, let me know what venues you used?

      I live in hawthorn but am open to any suburbs surrounding CBD (or in cbd but I imagine prices are worse there). For example, wouldn't mind Richmond, Fitzroy, North melbourne, collingwood, hawthorn, camberwell etc

        how about you update the title to reflect the City you are in so that people from eg BNE don't waste time opening your post.

        It's true. I actually pay people from gumtree to attend my parties. When people ask how they know me, they just say "I decline to answer". Works great.

          Hhmmm, "I'm going to HepC's party" - doesn't sound that great.

          At least at a HepA party you know there will be fruit.
