Which Flagship Phone?

My old phone has been pinched, so looking to upgrade.
I have an old backup phone for now, but would like to have a usable phone again.

Are there any deals out there at the moment? I have been looking at the N5, SGS5, Z3C, G3, etc.
(Basically looking for ~5" screen, 2+Gb RAM, 4G LTE (Optus), decent battery, etc)

It is frustrating that this has happened now, as I am sure the next gen phones will be out in the near future!

Cheers

Hmmm, why don't you wait just little bit longer and see what the next gen flagships are like.
Samsung is going to announce S6 in around 10 days. Other companies are going to do similar thing next month. Even if you don't want to get new gen flagships, it may reduce prioce of older ones like S5 etc.

    • I didn't realise the announcements were so close.
How soon after MWC2015 would these phones actually be released?
(Although, I don't think google, sony or LG are announcing flagships at MWC this year, and the S6 will be well out of my price range!)

      • I have no clue to be honest, I don't follow Australian market that much, but I'd assume that as soon as the new S6 is announced, the demand for S5 wil decrase so I'd assume taht the prices on older flagships are going to get reduced as a result.

HTC One m8 is worth looking into. A really smooth OS and quality speakers and screen. With the release of the m9 soon, prices should plummet making this a great buy!

    Nokia 3310.

    I jest.

Just buy the LG G2, it's a great device with an amazing battery life — better than the LG G3. Processor speed is only at most 5% slower than the G3 anyway. And best of all not terribly expensive either. At least, I feel that it holds it's own against the Samsung Galaxy S5, which is +$100 more.

  • HTC M9 gets announced 1st March along with the Samsung Galaxy S6. I highly suggest waiting for that instead.

If you absolutely cannot wait till this year's flagship phones then I recommend the HTC one M8 I managed to pick up a used M8 for $260 so prices are definitely falling. build quality is better then anything I've ever seen. Only let down is the camera which isn't the best which should be fixed with this year's M9.
