  • Servers Australia have a free hosting plan.. search for it here.

    • Not seeing anything free here or on their web site - not cheap either.
They did offer free business hosting (with ABN) in 2012 !

Please post a link if you know of anything active

      Cheers

      • Yeah it was the free business hosting..
Was working not so long ago.

        • They did have a page about it last year but some reason it is not there anymore..

  • +2

    free for life

It was, but the life of the hardware :)

I've got one of these free plans but I never put anything important on it. Now I can say goodbye to all those maintenance notifications.

  • 000webhost?

  • What about http://zuver.net.au/web-hosting
    $2/mo with a trusted company

  • Thanks for the replies.
I keep meaning to maintain a decent active web site but never get around to it.
So for now will stick with free.
I found http://freewebhosts.com.au/ who have a free offering, $1 per year if you have banner ads - or $5 without.

    Cheers

    • Surprised that your ISP doesn't have some webspace..

      • I'm with Belong. Cheap for 'Telstra' owned (lots of discussions about this)
So they cut corners, no email, no web space.

        Time to move on really

        • Try Exetel for even cheaper, but corners cut elsewhere…
          They have webspace anyway..
Ridiculously cheap, make sure you stay on the Telstra DSLAM, and don't get moved to an Optus one. Should be able to Churn from Belong.

        • Last time I checked Belong was not in their churn list
Also, not sure if we will be here in a year.

Over a year it works out about $10 a month cheaper with line rental.
