  • @martijn - haha. loved that song when it was released.

For those looking at Martijn's edited comment wondering what was said, his questions was, to put it more politely…"Who is Alice?". Below is a little more info :)

  • I hadn't thought of my tea consumption in such terms before: - cost per cup and cost per month. How novel!

    @octogonalman.

I'm sure you're not alone. Can't imagine many people thinking that way (me included!)

As tea lovers, our focus was more on how do we a) sample a variety of amazing teas b) ensure that when we sample those teas they're fresh c) not spend a fortune and completely overtake the pantry.

The result was Tea With Alice :)

I also love the idea! I'm just having trouble judging the cost/value of it against what I usually pay for tea. I mean it makes sense that to have a sampled variety delivered monthly will come at a premium, but could you introduce some more metrics on the site so that we tea drinkers can understand it better (i.e. how many grams of tea is provided)?

  • I love tea, and I love your concept. I only drink certified organic tea though - a quick website browse and I can't find a box with all organic teas. Do you have plansfor such a box
    ?

  • How many grams per cup? I noticed there is a 20% discount already reflected on the website…is this an additional 20% discount ontop of that?

  • @Question - that code is unique to OzBargain and gets you an additional 20% off any price you see on the website.

Re: how much tea, as a general rule it's around 3 grams, or a table spoon, per cup but the weight of the tea will see variations to that. Also - we like to make sure you get a good sampling so we tend to over-fill the tea - but don't tell anyone ;)

Just to belabour the point, our over-filling must be working as we've never had a customer complain about too little tea per sample.

  • @CurlyCee -Thanks for your kind comments about the concept.

A lot of our tea is certified organic but it's very difficult for us to continue finding enough certified organic blends that are different enough to keep to our goal of taking our customers on a tea adventure. (keep in mind we have to find 144 new blends every year)

So, while we aim to get as many certified organic products into our monthly boxes, we're only able to commit to all of our teas being 100% natural - not that I should be saying "only" about 100% natural, right? :)

BTW - if you have any tea loving friends who don't mind some teas not being certified organic, you can give them a Tea With Alice gift pack and still receive the 20% discount and infuser using the BARGAIN20 code.

  • Also - everyone who's been kind enough to comment - would love your help with some upvotes if you like the Tea With Alice concept and the code we've provided.

If this time is successful we'll be back with lots of other goodies :)

  • Hmm I might try one box for some fun :-) At home with6 week old baby bnumber 3 so this is as close to an adventure around the world as I'm going to get for a longggg time.

  • @curlycee - fantastic. Have a couple of young ones of my own so completely understand the need for adventures of all kinds :) Look forward to hearing how you find the tea.
