Has Anyone Bought from Hardkernel?

Has anyone here dealt with http://hardkernel.com/, ostensibly a Korean supplier of Odroid stuff?
Some eight weeks ago I ordered about $100 (US) worth from [email protected]. A few days later I received a tracking notice and advice that the package had been sent. they advised delivery times of 2 to 6 weeks.

The link to the tracking with Korea Post says "no such number". Anyway I let it go and waited. And waited.
I have since emailed hardkernel, but no replies.

Paypal now tell me I have left it too late to cancel. Fair enough.

Should I just cop it sweet or do you reckon there's anything else I can do?

  • dont you get like 6 months to dispute now?

    • That what I had thought, but from what PP is telling me, no!
I'm waiting to hear from Amex. Hopefully I have two layers of protection ;-)

Will report back when I hear.

Of course, if it came with Korea Post, Austraya Post will be handling this end. And as we know, they now have and intentionally "go slow" delivery system for all standard postage. (12 days, small parcel, Perth to Adelaide, which used to take 3-4 days).

  • Did you purchase it PayPal via your Credit Card (as opposed to PP Balance or PP linked bank a/c) ? If so, you should be able to perform a charge back through your credit card provider.

    • Paypal. I am already in contact with them, but initial advice is I've done my dough. Anyone else thinking about hardkernel, be careful IMO.

My PP account is linked to my Amex card. They are looking into the matter for me.

  • Pleased to report that the parts arrived in two boxes yesterday. Both were severely battered, bruised and repaired by Australia Post. The original mailing date was nine weeks ago.
Looks like hardkernel is ok to deal with. They are just not very good at answering customers' emails. Maybe a language thing?
