Hey fellow ozbargainers,
I was looking for a brand new home gym sets and was wondering which place/store would be the best to buy the goods from. Any locations in Brisbane would be very handy. I'm looking in the price range of about $300-$400. Would be better if I could view the product and check it out!

Try eBay, bought a NordicTrack multi gym recently off eBay, the auction went for <$90, the seller happened to have a ute, got it delivered to my house for $110 all up. They're bulky items and are difficult to sell, used ones predominately sells for less than the cost of month and half of gym membership.
Some tips when disassembling:
- take it apart only if necessary to fit, makes assembling much easier.
- be uber careful with the two long poles which the weights travel up and down on, if they're knocked out of shape you're screwed.
May not be exactly what you're thinking of, but can vouch for the effectiveness of Total Gym. The newer models allow for extra weights to be added for more resistance (weight bar). Easy on joints & a great, overall workout. Nice thing is that my kids can both use it, too- only takes a second to adjust for each user.
I won't bother linking the site because there are many sellers around with various models. Mine is probably the cheapest- but still very good. Been using it for years.

I'd suggest Gumtree.
You'll get it for a fraction of the cost for something that has probably barely been used.
