Live Connected: Any issues porting out two numbers from the one account?

Hi all,

So as the title says, I've got two mobile services with Live Connected on the one account number. I've been meaning to change providers for a while, but with the introduction of the new $20 security deposit recently, I figure now is as good a time as any.

I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience with porting out services that are on the one account? Don't know if it would make a difference, I'm probably going to port both over to the same provider (Amaysim).

Any comments or things to look out for would be great, thanks!

  • I just ported two numbers on the same account from Live Connected out to Jeenee mobile on Thursday.
Both seemed to make the switch smoothly.
Now I'm wondering how the two $20 security deposits get refunded.

  • Ported out two numbers from LC's sister service Vaya. No real issues One took 4hours the other 4 days and I ported out the 4 day one earlier (by 30 mins) than the 4 hour port.

Other than that no issues except Vaya's billing system that wasn't right, but not worth the time to deal with their useless customer centre

  • I ported out 2 numbers from the same account just the other day. We were paying almost $21 a month for the old $11 plan, so I figured it was as good a time as any to go over to Boost with their new $20 plan coming out that'll give me much better coverage (uses all Telstra towers, not just the reseller 3G).

Clincher for me as the new $20 security deposit, on top of the wife going over the cap by using far too many sms/mms. Coles also had a 50% off all sim starter packs, so I got onto the $40ULTD boost for only $20 on both services.

The porting took less than 15 minutes during business hours.

  • That's for the replies all. It sounds like there shouldn't be any issues, so I'll put through the ports and hopefully it'll all go smoothly!
