Need a King Size Quilt

Hi Guys, Just wondering where the best place might be to get a King Size quilt. Looking for probably wool.. or at least a quilt that is mostly cotton. Open to suggestions. I've seen Kogan have a 100% wool quilt for around $70. Should i jump on this or can i find better? I would also consider a factory seconds quilt e.g. Beds R Us sell factory second sheridan and Tontine quilts.. but don't have King size at the moment. I would prefer to either go in-store to purchase or online if it is relatively fast shipping.

Thanks :-)

If you are looking for a Pure Cotton quilt I highly recommend the adairs one ($94.95) can be picked up at any adairs store.

  • Thanks scrimshaw :-)

I am hoping for a budget of between $60-$100 max.. Unless it is the bargain of the century on a luxurious quilt. Also hoping for an ALL seasons quilt as my partner gets very hot very easily.

I have seen big w have a tontine allergy one for $72 from $119. Seems ok, but then I think Kogans one might be better. I have heard before not to buy bedding online as you don't know what's in it e.g. Whether it is truly 100% Australian Wool when they state it on the packaging. Any thoughts on this?

    • Tontine Allergy is not cotton nor wool. It's polyester fibre, so it is naturally, cheaper than Wool or cotton quilts. From my POV anyway.

I think wool or cotton is still the best choice for an all seasons quilt. I don't know about the Tontine, never used it.

For all seasons I think you'll find the Adairs Washable Cotton quilt to be good enough, and it fits within your budget. 500 GSM wool can be pretty hot.

You can also try Mini Jumbuk wool/cotton quilts, which is a mix of 60/40 percent wool and cotton. So it's versatile. Mini Jumbuk is an aussie company based in South Aust.

      • Thank you. I'll look into them both a bit more after work today :-)

I been waiting this to come back

    • Me too! What are the chances though?!

  • Target has a large range of Tontine quilts. Reasonable price. You can purchase on line, delivery or pick-up in store. They often have sale, even free delivery. We bought a Tontine "Venus & Mars" quilt (king size), very happy with it. I wouldn't buy cheap quilts (Kogan), as there's no way to tell what's inside.

    • I think target have 40% off quilts tomorrow. I'll have to check it out

      • YES! Great timing. BTW, free home delivery for on-line orders over $75 (in case they don't have king size in store).

  • Thanks for your contribution guys! I bought an Australian wool one from Target for $72. Pretty happy :-)
