  • I got this chair delivered for $286.35.

    http://www.dxracer.com.au/dx-racer-u-series-office-gamiing-c…

It is $280 as part of this free delivery offer, so it works out a little cheaper than the 40% off.

    • Any good? I am thinking of getting a dxracer chair but have no idea which one

    • Can you lean back in this chair, or is it at a 'set' position? Can you take the arm rests off?

    • +1

      I got the U series.
The frame and built is solid. The ergonomic is good.
The seat padding is ok but could be better.

The best part is that the seat can reclined almost 180 degrees.
I've a sore back, so this feature is why I got this chair.

The PU leather is a bit on the cheaper end, a bit thin…

I realize afterwards, that on their website they outline the firmness of the surface material and sponge density.
I think that I prefer the surface material to be "modest". "Soft" IMO is a bit on the cheaper end…doesn't feel like a premium product.

However most of the chair that has surface material = modest are in the $470 range :-(

Edit: I think the Faux Leather is what I would have preferred…if I had known

  • I'd really like to get a K-series - but the height specification mentions 180cm - 190cm.

Do you have something similar (i.e. body size "strong") for someone that is around 175cm?

    • I have the M series, but I had the same problem as you. I found that that 180-190 recommendation really didn't matter, all it mean't to me is that I needed a footrest of some sort because my feet wouldn't touch the ground when I sat on it. Hope that helped!

Where can I try before I buy.

  • I want one, but it will never happen

  • -1

In all seriousness. What is the point of this?

    • I'm also wondering this. I've never used one as my family could never afford chairs. I also have a friend who owns some chairs all around his house that look quite a bit different to this one, what's the difference?

    • Good chair = Good back.

  • -7

Anything "gaming" is a gimmick tbh. Bucket seats are far from ergonomic. Go buy a Herman miller clone for this much coin.

    • -6

"Gamers" sure are stupid. No, not people who play games. People who take playing games far too serious.

The whole point of a bucket seat is to hold a person in, when experiencing inertia. How would there be inertia whilst sitting on their ass typing and moving a mouse?

Just seems like a giant wank, like most "gamer" accessories.

      • Unlike most of the people in this thread (you) I have sat in one of their chairs and compared to a number of overpriced charis like herman miller these are 100x better

        • @storyteller, agreed.

I bought a u-series chair in the last sale. Delivered it was only about $80 more than the chair I was looking at @ officeworks. Best decision buying one of these chairs. Solid build, Excellent quality, good back support, comfortable. You get what you pay for.

        • +1

I'm still waiting for an explanation why a stationary person at a computer desk, would need a bucket seat designed for movement. Comfortable or not, the design looks so wanky.

  • When will you be getting the K series back in stock?

  • +1

I bought the M series chair a few weeks ago, and while some of you may not see the value in this, after using this chair, I see how it has improved my sitting posture most of all.

The chair allows me to have a more straighter posture, with the height of the back rest enough to rest my head on with the neck pillow. It is for this alone that I wanted the chair, the rest of the features was just bonus. My use case involved me at the computer for hours on end editing footage and researching for future projects. I find this chair won't let me slouch like I used to and my neck is supported well. Most other chairs don't have a high enough back rest where my neck can rest on, thus leading to neck pains and a terrible sitting posture.

If you think it's stupid and a gimmick then fine, it's not for everyone, but don't write it off just because it's considered a "gaming chair". I find that my M series can serve me much better as a comfortable office chair, that helps me keep my posture when I want to work and let me relax and lie back when I don't want to.

If anyone has questions about either the red+black or white+black versions of the M series, feel free to reply to this, I'll answer to the best of my ability.

Edit: Also, the adjustable arm rests, although not the softest thing to rest your arms on, are super helpful as it allows me to have my arms in a more natural position with adequate adjustability for height and where they are positioned.

Does this include the pillows as shown on the picture? Mainly the backrest and the headrest?

  • I'd love to be able to get 1 of these chairs, been wanting 1 for over a year now but the lack of a Melbourne store with display models to try means I'll probably never buy 1, I've seen good reviews for them too but a review can only go so far for something you need to experience.

  • Title & info could do with some (read: ANY) info.

Products sold, quality, ANY reason to click the link or discover the brand.

And, of course, how much we're possibly saving.

I had been looking for an F Series chair on www.dxracer.com.au (which is https://www.facebook.com/dxraceraustralia) for a while and waiting for some kind of deal.
Shipping was around $30 to Melbourne when I was doing quotes on the site.

I actually ended up pulling the trigger at http://www.dxracer.com/au/en-au/ which is the official DX Racer site.
    Their facebook is https://www.facebook.com/DXRacerANZ
They have free shipping and a wider range of chairs in stock.
Shipping from them took 1 day from dispatch!

Set up the chair last week and it's a hell of a lot better than my 10 year old chair it replaced.
I put the lumbar cushion on but then didn't like it because it felt weird when I leaned back to use the head cushion too, but now I've put the lumbar cushion back on because when I play games I sit forward anyway so it's good to have that support there.
I definitely am forced to sit more properly in this chair, I can't slump or cross my legs on the chair like I used to do.

  • Given that it's free shipping from www.dxracer.com/au/en-au/ normally anyway, I wouldn't say this is much of a deal.

    • Please check there shipping details. It's not truely free. Some areas have an extra charge of upto $100.

      • That's a fair point, I was only considering delivery to Melbourne and pulled the trigger on their site since it was free shipping as standard for my instance.

      • +1

So its even-less of a "deal". If you're a rep here, you should provide some/any details.

The select group who weren't free before, now are. For everyone-else… business as usual.

  • Hi, i'm wondering when there'll be more F-series in stock @DXRacer?

  • Just got my chair today and assembled it. I am quite suprised with the size of the chair/box. It makes me sit up straight and discourages me from leaning forward.

    • Which one you get, got my eye on the Blue-K or the Yellow-D. I notice they have weight/height info though I'm not sure how important it is, since I'm about 188cm & 108kg I don't want to get something flimsy.

  • After on of the K-Series, when do you expect stock again?

[Edit]: btw, the (K-series)[http://www.dxracer.com.au/dxracer-pc-gaming-chairs/dx-racer-k-series-office-gaming-chair-black-and-blue-pu-leather.html] measurements are in imperial where everything else is in metric.

  • I am looking to order an M series chair but they are either listed as out of stock or pre-order. Do you know when they will be back in stock and will it be in time for the free shipping?

  • So i'm 185cm / 85kgs… Is the F series ok for me? I know it's target height is 180cm.

    • +1

I asked the DXRacerUSA rep on reddit (I am 183cm and 93kg) and they replied with "I'd recommend the M-Series! It'd fit your height and weight best. Both the K-Series and I-Series may feel a bit too big. Hope this helps!".

I have ordered a M series and it has shipped so hopefully it arrives on Friday.

      • Interesting… looking at the M-Series vs the R. The back is actually lower on the M, but the seat is wider than the R & F. Not sure which way to go! So many slight variations!

        • I have the F-Series and I'm 169cm tall with slim build.
The top of the seat back reaches in line with the top of my head so based on that alone I'd recommend one of the bigger ones in the range for your height.

        • @unco: Looking at the variants. The R-series has the tallest back and it's significantly taller than the M series.

      • Also.. I wonder if the M is still being sold? It seems like it's listed as sold-out and no option to pre-order.

        • +1

I ordered my M series pre-order on the 05/04/2015 and it shipped on the 07/04/2015. As for the R vs M cannot help much but the M series the surface and padding are listed as modest vs soft of the R series.

Also it seems dxracer has two Australian sites, dxracer.com.au and dxracer.com/au and on the /au site the M series is listed as in stock http://www.dxracer.com/au/en-au/product/1/executive_office_c…
