I for one bought it from local Melbourne Officeworks with a pricematch because I couldn't wait, but if you are in sydney they also have a store in Parramatta. Even at the original price it's a great deal, Quality headset with great reviews.

Using it for a few days now, really good headset comes with a case that doubles up as a charger. Now if everyone worked right and bought from Officeworks the bargain can go for longer or Officeworks will also drop their price :-)

  • I can second that this is a really good headset. Bought one at OW, can't seem to find mine right now though…

BTW OP, are you sure this one is the one that comes with the case? It didn't mention it on the website. The charging case itself normally cost >$30 and the headset itself >$90.

    • I have the case right next to me now so yes :-)

Bought it from officeworks as pricematch, will post the OW receipt here if I can find a way to upload it here.

      • I think the OW guy price matched the wrong product lol. In the "in the box" section on mobileciti it doesn't mention the charging case at all.

        Plantronics Voyager Legend Bluetooth Headset
        Plantronics Wall Charger
        Plantronics USB Charging Cable
Three Eartips (small, medium, and large)
Foam Covers (one small, one medium)
        Quick Start Guide

Maybe put up the receipt for those that want to pricematch.

        • Try calling them it seems strange , I think plantronics got a lot of backlash that they changed the connector to a proprietary one, so they started including the case with it which has a Micro USB connector.

Actually mine didn't come with a wall charger only the case which doubles as a spare mobile battery charger for the headset..

Uploaded the Price match receipt to the original post.

I have been using it for ~ 2 weeks and it works beautifully

        • @dealman:

Yeah I know the one, was thinking of buying one before. If this does come with the charging case I'll gladly buy another lol.

    • Bought one at OW, can't seem to find mine right now though…

      @ProjectZero,

just found about this… for the plantronics headset.

      APPS & MORE

Find MyHeadset® app for Android™ helps locate your headset

Send a tone to hear headset nearby or track last usage on a map using BackTrack™ feature. If you have Android™ OS 3.0 or later, you can view an on-screen headset battery meter in the notification bar.

      • Not too sure if I'll be able to find it, because I haven't used it in a while and I have a different phone now… I'm sure it's in one of my bags lol

        • Well Worth trying, it sends a loud beep to the headset so you can hear it, if the headset still has battery it might work.

  • good enough to secretly listen to music at office while working? battery life is good?

    • good enough to secretly listen to music at office while working?

      It's a mono headset… so probably not…

Battery life is pretty good, I've accidently left the headset on standby for a day and it was working… just don't expect to talk for long after leaving it on standby for a day though lol. I did last 5-6 hrs with random talk time here and there.

      • yeah i get it is mono, but as poster below said, just some music on the ear while working but still aware of surrounding…. its not possible to using monster over the ear headphone at work, boss wont be happy - but something like this, not too obvious, maybe can.

    • good enough to secretly listen to music at office while working? battery life is good?

Actually I prefer it to listen to podcasts because stereo headsets that block both ears make me cut off from work environment, Colleagues then throw paper balls to call me out, this way one ear is always free to listen to the landline or the smoke alarm

  • I just installed dragon naturallyspeaking so this looks great. Can someone tell me though for bluetooth microphones - if your laptop has bluetooth, do you still need a little usb dongle connected to your laptop for it to work? I'm on a sp3 and it just has the one usb port which I'd rather not be used up all the time.

  • I just got this a few days ago and got OW to price match and 5% disc based on this web: http://www.exeltek.com.au/plantronics-voyager-legend-mobile-…

the 5% additional discount brought it down to $75.05 which I was happy about but the OW guy who price matched was pretty thorough with checking and definitely didn't mistake this unit ($99 at OW) with the one including the charging case ($125 at OW) like what the OP got. Regardless, I'm happy with the purchase.

I've currently got it paired simultaneously on a daily basis with an iphone 6 plus and my laptop, so you can listen to music, vid, etc and still automatically pick up any incoming calls. If you pair the headset with the Plantronics BT300 bluetooth rather than using the laptop's inbuilt BT adapter apparently it can automatically pause and resume vids/songs, but not a major for me and I'm happy with my current setup. The one thing I'm still not liking is the silicon ear plug though, I've tried all 3 sizes and none seem to fit perfect especially if you move around with it.

    • Hi Mate,
Did you get a USB adaptor to go with it? I didn't get any with mine just the case.

      • hey mate, no I didn't as well. I think it's an optional extras for people who want to pair it to say a PC without built-in bluetooth functionality. The only reason I came across the dongle was because I was having issues pairing it to my Dell laptop and browsed around on it but finally got it working :)

      • The USB adapter is the Legend UC which comes with the BT dongle.

  • I got one of these soon after they were released. Been using it for AGES now and it hasn't missed a beat. Very happy with it.
