I'm actually a bit surprised to hear that there's a lot of it going on. I read a lot of the stuff on here (too much, really!), and the last example I remember was more than a month ago; some twerp who invented a long-winded pile of BS in what it turned out was a thinly veiled effort to offer his (expensive) camera lens for sale in one of the forums. His ad was removed in a matter of minutes, if I remember rightly…
A lot is probably just modded before you get to it ;)

Thanks for the suggestion, we agree there is enough of it going on to justify it's own report reason and may help reduce it like you say. We've added 'Private selling' as a comment report reason now.
